Rotax Marine was founded to manufacture unsinkable floating elements needed for the construction of port facilities. In just 10 years, the French company has produced and delivered the equivalent of 50,000 tonnes of buoyancy throughout the world, making it one of the leading experts in the field.
Rotax Marine’s approach is environmentally friendly, and is developed according to three principles:

Modular pontoons
MODULAR PONTOONS
With a wide range of multi-purpose, robust and easy-to-assemble polyethylene modules, we can make anything float. Rotax modular polyethylene pontoons are the solution for all different configurations: as an extension of existing installations, for industrial use, leisure, events. A sea of possibilities, temporary or otherwise.
The advantages of modular polyethylene pontoons:
- STRENGTH: these polyethylene modules with high mechanical strength and UV resistance meet all your flotation constraints without deforming.
- INSTALLATION: installation is quick and easy.
- CARRYING CAPACITY: each square metre of module holds up to 300 kg.

Unsinkable floats
UNSINKABLE FLOATS
All parts are made of medium-density polyethylene, which provides good resistance to cracking and shocks. The materials used are noble, stabilised with anti-UV agents and colour-treated with black pigment, allowing excellent resistance to ultraviolet radiation.
Rotax Marine floats are resistant to salt water, the aggression of marine animal and plant species, wave impacts, hydrocarbons and static ice formation and are guaranteed for 15 years.
Rotax Marine are offered in a ‘foamed’ version, which means they are filled with expanded polystyrene spheres forming a block of utmost cohesion. Rotax Marine guarantees the insolubility of the float even in the event of a tear or breakage of the PE casing.

Mooring and marking buoys
Rotax Marine has applied its experience in the design and manufacture of floats to create a new line of new-generation unsinkable buoys.
The MOORING BUOYS mooring buoys are made of polyethylene and foamed polystyrene (EPS), two materials that guarantee unsinkability even in the event of propeller blows and violent shocks. EPS foam, in fact, unlike polyurethane foam, consists of closed water-repellent cells. The use of these innovative materials makes it possible to have 100% recyclable buoys compatible with use below the sea surface, without the risk of scraping the substrate.
Rotax Marine MARKING BUOYS marking buoys are standardised, made of medium-density polyethylene and provide good resistance to cracking and impact. The materials used are noble, coloured with pigments that are stabilised by anti-UV agents. This type of buoy is available in different sizes (400, 600 and 800 diameter), each equipped with reinforced brass rings that avoid any electrolysis problems.
